Phnom Penh is the central travel hub in Cambodia. You must pass through here anytime you want to get to any major tourist destination. We would be in this capital city three times before we left the country. Some of the travelers we spoke to at our guesthouse felt as though their visit here was more annoyance than adventure. Its loud, dirty in places, poverty stricken, and so chaotic that it puts NYC to shame. We found it all to be quite enduring and it has fast become one of our favorite cities. All you need to be entertained here is a camera, a pair of sturdy legs or three dollars for a tuk tuk ride.
